POEM OF THE MONTH

POEM OF THE MONTH
By Elaine Armstrong, Fir Tree
There’ll be people you meet in your lifetime, that won’t be on the same page as you,
It’s true that not everybody, will see things the same way you do.
That’s ok, it’s a fact of life, it’s what makes the world go round,
Just agree to disagree, go separate ways without a sound.
When things don’t go your way, It doesn’t help to just attack,
Vindictive nasty comments, once said, cannot be taken back.
Just because you don’t agree, does not give cause to start a fight,
Passive aggressive behaviour, just shows you in an unfavourable light.
If you have something to say, say it and let that be the end,
Don’t gossip about others, and then pretend to be their friend.
Your actions may hurt others, more than you could ever know,
And what seems like words to you, to them could be the final blow.
Don’t ever become a bully, follow the lessons you’ve been taught,
Don’t let things go too far, after all, life is too short!
Just accept that sometimes in life, things won’t always go your way,
Take a moment and move on, don’t let it ruin your day.
The world would be a boring place, if everyone shared the same trait,
Concentrate on your own life, their thoughts are not yours to dictate.
You can’t be friends with everyone, but be well mannered and stand tall.
Most importantly, if you’ve nothing nice to say, then simply say nothing at all.
