A 14-year-old boy from Wolsingham has had his much-loved bicycle stolen and is heartbroken after recently spending his savings on parts for it.

Caison Gibson is a friendly, conscientious boy who works to make his own money and callous thieves have taken it away from him. The lad, a student at Wolsingham School, prized his bike and used it daily until it was taken from the shed at the family home.

After his mother, Raphael, posted the crime on social media, a neighbour, Lisa Gray, set up a Go Fund Me page to help the youngster to replace it. Caison delivers the town’s newspapers seven days a week and used his bike to do, recently spending £500 of his savings on it.

Caison’s mother, Raphael, said, “Caison has spent a fortune on new parts for this bike over the last few months, all his own hard earned cash that he’s gone out to work for, he absolutely adores this bike.”

The theft took place late on Monday evening between 23:30 and 04;am on Tuesday morning and it wasn’t the only one in Wolsingham. Several householders reported strangers looking in bins, at cars and in outhouses, some caught on door bell cameras. Another victim had his expensive tools stolen from a works van.
