Hamsterley Auction event for Methodist chapel
AN Auction event will be held in Hamsterley Methodist Chapel tonight (Wednesday May 14th) at 7pm.
The evening, which has been organised as a fundraiser to save the Chapel from closure, will begin with a 40-minutes talk on the history of the chapel and an auction and buffet will follow. The auctioneer will be the entertaining villager – Simon Raine – and entry is free with donations towards the buffet.
The event has been organised by the group, Hamsterley Chapel Fixers who aim to do just that – fix the chapel so it can continue in use.
