MS CHARITY SHOP CLOSES TEMPORARILY
THE MS charity shop in the main street of Stanhope has closed temporarily.
A sign in the window announced the closure and also one in the window nearby made an appeal
for more volunteers.
A statement from the Stanhope and Weardale MS Society, which founded and runs the shop
stated: ‘the shop is currently recruiting a temporary manager for maternity cover and will reopen
when one is in place. Head office is dealing with the recruitment. Meanwhile the volunteers and
board have been amazing working behind the scenes to get the shop ready for reopening. All very
eager for shop to reopen and there are new volunteers ready to begin working.’
Yvonne Dinsdale, a long -term supporter of the Society and of the shop itself, has been posting
