Wolsingham student needs YOUR help
A UNIVERSITY student who lives in Wolsingham is seeking the community’s help with a transport
survey.
Ellie Atkinson, who is originally from Sunderland but who has lived and spent holidays in the Dale
for most of her life, is studying a Degree Apprenticeship in Transport Planning at Aston University in
Birmingham. She also works full time for a consultancy based in Newcastle.
Ellie is currently working on her university dissertation on how to improve transport connectivity
in rural areas with the focus on Weardale and has devised a questionnaire for Weardalians to
complete. It takes around five minutes and she would really appreciate the help of Dalefolk.
Ellie said, “I know each village will have their own issues/concerns so am keen to pinpoint exactly
what these are.
“I would be hugely appreciative of anyone who could take the time to complete my short
questionnaire, and would be extremely grateful.”
