A MAN from Wolsingham who made a ‘Crazy Golf’ game for his son’s wedding has helped found a business on its success.

Andrew Marshall, a Process Engineer by trade took waste materials from renovated offices, which were destined for landfill and turned them into a giant 9-hole Crazy Golf course to amuse guests at his son’s wedding in 2024.

It proved so popular that he decided to see if any other couples would be interested in hiring it. The course is tailored to the wedding couple and Andrew is helped by his daughter, Daisy with the business that has grown from it.

The bride liked Hello Kitty!

Andrew said, “We named the business Crazy in Love. The course is fully personalised with each hole taking you through the couple’s story from meeting through to the wed-ding night.”

Andrew and Daisy founded a website and are now busy with bookings and, of course, making new games too. Because of the surprising success of the original game, they have introduced a second one to hire – a giant ‘Guess The Guest’ game, played like Guess Who? but personalised with 16 of the wedding guests.

Each game, be it the Crazy Golf or the Guess the Guest, is tailored to the bridal couple and their guests. There is a lot of work involved not only with building the games but researching them too.
