Last year’s Open Mic evening was such fun we are really excited to announce that we are doing it again this year! So join us and share your words in a relaxed, friendly, informal setting on
Friday 24 October, St. Thomas’ Church Hall, Stanhope, 7pm.
Whatever your style: anecdote, mini-memoir, slice of life, poetry, microfiction, there is a place for you at the Open Mic. Our host will be the enormously talented Steve Urwin, poetry slam champion and writing facilitator.
Steve will also be running a workshop to introduce you to some of the ways he prepares for a public reading on Friday afternoon (24 October), same venue, 2 — 4 pm.
