Frosterley Inn v Stanhope Pack Horse

Due to fixture changes, Frosterley Inn and Stanhope Pack Horse brought forward their league match from Week 24 to allow re-scheduled matches to be played over the coming weeks.

Frosterley Inn struck first, with Finlay Coates taking the opening frame to give the home side an early lead. Ethan Coates quickly followed up with an impressive eight-ball clearance to double the advantage.

Stanhope Pack Horse responded well, with Dan Wright getting the visitors on the board before Louise Fletcher levelled the match at 2–2. Derek Dent then restored Frosterley Inn’s lead, and Neil Coates added another frame to give the home side a two-point cushion at the end of the singles.

With everything still to play for heading into the three doubles matches, Frosterley Inn secured the victory by winning the opening doubles game. Stanhope Pack Horse claimed the second doubles to narrow the gap, but Frosterley Inn sealed the final frame of the night to record a 6–3 win.

Team Knockout Cup Final – Second Leg

Stanhope Grey Bull (A) v Wolsingham Black Lion

Following a commanding 8–1 away win in the first leg of the Team Knockout Cup Final, Stanhope Grey Bull (A) returned home knowing they required just two points to secure the trophy.

Wolsingham Black Lion, however, were not ready to give up hope and made the perfect start to the evening. Reg Savory claimed the opening frame, before Jonathan Elliot added a second to keep the visitors’ comeback hopes alive.

Unfortunately for Wolsingham Black Lion, the fightback ended there as John Anderson and Carl Tunstall took the next two frames for Stanhope Grey Bull (A), securing the points required to clinch the cup.

Congratulations to both teams on reaching the final, and well done to this year’s Team Knockout Cup winners, Stanhope Grey Bull (A).
