It’s not walking. It’s not doggy daycare. It’s THE dog’s day out!

The UK’s most loved dog experience bus has partnered with Bridge Creative to bring its unique service to County Durham

Billy’s Bus, the viral UK dog experience that has captured the hearts of dog lovers, won national media coverage on Good Morning Britain and ITN News, and even caught the attention of Disney – has joined forces with County Durham social enterprise Bridge Creative to bring its one-of-a-kind experience to the North East of England.

Who is Billy’s Bus?

Billy’s Bus is a national phenomenon. Born from a simple idea of giving dogs the experience of a lifetime on board a specially designed bus – each dog enjoys their own seat on the bus, safely secured with a harness, kept warm and cosy, and surrounded by plenty of furry friends for company.

The company became an overnight internet sensation, racking up millions of views and a passionate, devoted following across the UK. Dogs board the bus, take in the sights, and have the kind of day out their owners can only dream of. The concept is joyful, original and utterly irresistible.

With appearances on Good Morning Britain, coverage across ITN News and a reach that saw Disney come knocking, Billy’s Bus has grown from a social media moment into a full-blown movement. Now, it is bringing that magic up to the North East.

Billy’s Bus Chooses County Durham

Billy’s Bus is bringing the experience to the North East in collaboration with Bridge Creative, an award-winning social enterprise rooted in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. The partnership is a deliberate one: Billy’s Bus has chosen Bridge Creative as its North East partner because of the organisation’s deep community roots, its commitment to inclusion, and its proven track record of delivering meaningful, people-first services.

For Bridge Creative, this is a landmark moment – a chance to combine its social mission of creating employment opportunities for neurodivergent adults and adults with a learning disability, with what has quickly become one of the UK’s most beloved and talked-about doggy brands.

Why It Matters: Employment, Inclusion and Impact

Bridge Creative was set up to support autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities to build skills, confidence, and meaningful lives. A central part of that mission is employment to provide real, paid work, and all the independence and wellbeing that comes with it.

The Billy’s Bus partnership creates new paid job opportunities for the people and local community Bridge Creative supports. Working on Billy’s Bus means joining a recognised brand, engaging with the public, and playing a central role in delivering an experience that brings genuine joy to communities across the North East. Every booking made will support that mission.

Our little yellow bus has captured the hearts of millions and we are unbelievably proud to be partnering with Bridge Creative to bring the magic to the north of England.

We are committed to providing the best service for dog owners and giving dogs the best day out, whilst also giving adults with learning difficulties a safe and community based environment to work in, learn social skills, build confidence, gain independence and find paid jobs in the workforce.

– Laura, Billy’s Bus

So many of the people we work with want to work with animals, but the opportunity for jobs in that area are so rare – it’s one of those aspirations we hear time and time again that we’ve never really been able to do anything about. Billy’s Bus changes that. It gives people the chance to gain real, paid employment doing something they actually love, that’s genuinely exciting and unlike anything else we’ve been able to offer before, whilst creating a sustainable trading arm under Bridge Creative
