A COFFEE Morning held in Tow Law church hall raised money for a grand Flower Festival to be held over the second weekend in September.

The group of ladies, led by Judith Stephens, worked hard to offer a variety of stalls to raise money for the festival, which is to be held in memory of Flower Arranger extraordinaire, Norman Deacon from the town. Norman was known nationally for his prowess and talent in flower arranging as well as teaching the craft. He organised flower festivals himself, especially in the church where this one in his memory will be staged.
Norman died last year, aged 92, and is still sorely missed.
Lynn Morallee from the town offered her beautifully crocheted creations for sale while others had baked delicious cakes. There was a raffle, tombola, jigsaw stall and so much more, including teas/coffees, of course. The money raised will go towards buying the flowers, which can be expensive.

If anyone is interested either in helping with or exhibiting in the Festival, which is to entitles ‘Thanks for the Memories’, please call Judith on 07906216743.
