The Moorland Association
What’s Going On?
THE Moorland Association is seeking volunteers to help them discover what is really going on in
our uplands.
In 2021 the Government’s England Peat Action Plan made big promises – clear mapping, shared
decision-making, and genuine partnership with land managers.
Years later, we’re still waiting.
Where is the data?
Where are the meetings?
Why are decisions still being made without those who live and work on the land?
The truth is: instead of clarity, we have confusion. Instead of partnership, we have policy made in
silence – by people with little understanding of our landscape or communities. We’re not prepared
to let this slide.
We’re launching a simple initiative to get answers – and we need your help.
Can you spare 10 minutes a week?
We’re building a team of volunteers to submit short, targeted Freedom of Information (FOI)
requests. Together, we’ll shine a light on how decisions are really being made – and whether public
bodies are honouring the commitments they made.
We’ll provide everything you need.
To take part, just email us at .
This is our land, our future – and our right to know what’s going on.
Join us. Speak up. Let’s take back our seat at the table.
