The stunning Manor House Hotel & Spa, West Auckland was transformed into a playground of elegant dread this past Friday the 13th, as guests gathered for a Masquerade Ball in honour of the sensationally successful horror character, Eve Valentine.
The event was co-hosted by the hotel and the character’s creator, the multi-award-winning horror film director Dean Midas. Known for his ability to blend psychological chills with striking visuals, Midas brought that same cinematic flair to the Manor House, resulting in a complete sell-out.
Following the massive success of the Eve Valentine franchise, the ball offered a rare chance for fans to immerse themselves in the character’s ‘home’. The evening featured a capacity crowd of masked guests, celebrating the intersection of high fashion and horror.
Following the immense success of the night, The Manor House Hotel has already expressed interest in making this an annual staple of their event calendar.
“Seeing everyone together at The Manor House to celebrate Eve Valentine was incredible,” said Dean Midas. “We wanted to create something more than just a party, we wanted an experience. The fact that it was a sell-out shows just how much love there is for the character and the genre. We’re already looking at how we can top this next year.”
With the Eve Valentine character continuing to grow in the horror scene, this Masquerade Ball marks yet another milestone in Midas’s rapidly growing career.
