As Weardale Ear Care approaches it’s first anniversary I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the people of Weardale for their continued support and custom.
I have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and their families, some of who remember me from our local GP surgery where I worked as a nurse.
I offer Professional ear wax removal throughout Weardale and beyond. The cost of a home visit is only £5 extra which ensures that my service is accessible to housebound clients or those who prefer to have wax removal in the comfort of their own home. I also offer clinic appointments in Blackhill, Consett.
It’s not always about wax: There are many different conditions that can affect our ears. Conditions can be acute and short term or chronic and long lasting.
If you are suffering from hearing loss, ear pain, a feeling of fullness, loss of balance or tinnitus the cause MAY NOT BE WAX.
At Weardale Ear Care I advocate a holistic approach to care. Every client is an individual with their own symptoms and concerns. I carry out a comprehensive assessment taking into account your previous medical history and current problems. You will be offered an otoscope view of your ears enabling you to see what I see. Family members are always welcome to watch.
With over 40 years’ experience as a qualified nurse, I am able to recognise other ear conditions. I never assume that your problem is simply a build up of ear wax. I will signpost you to the relevant healthcare professional if I have concerns that wax build up is not the problem and I will guide you through the audiology referral process if I think you would benefit from this. The cost of this professional consultation is only £20. This is included in the price of wax removal should you require this. Wax removal from one ear is £40, both ears £50
