THE annual show, organised by the North East branch of the Morris Minor Owners’ Club, was held on Stanhope Showfield over the weekend.
Scores of vintage cars and vans were on display alongside stalls selling vintage items, including car parts and tools. Inside the showfield hut, Cllr Anita Savory and Glenis Robinson were selling home-made cakes and scones in aid of the Friends of the Weardale Community Hospital. Another stall held a tombola to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham.

It was a mild day with no rain although cloudy and the car enthusiasts and owners enjoyed picnics on the field, others showed off their immaculate machines to visitors. Entry was free to the public.
