LOCAL FILM-MAKER VISITS SPOOKY PUB FOR NEW DOCUMENTARY
AWARD winning local film director, Dean Midas is turning his attention to a documentary about
the alleged spirits of The Cross Keys pub in Gainford, Durham.
The Cross Keys in Gainford was built in 1759 and Dean was recently contacted via a friend of a
friend regarding the ongoing paranormal activity in the pub.
Louis Jerrom is the landlord of The Cross Keys, until recently he was the youngest in Britain. He
said, “Over the past few months the activity and the intensity have been gathering pace and that’s
why we have called someone in”
Glasses have come off shelves, doors mysteriously open with no one around and on one
occasion a glass exploded, with no one near it. All of these events have been caught on CCTV.
Dean said, “I have seen all of the CCTV footage and although I am keeping an open mind, these
events are very intriguing. I have called in a local paranormal team and I am going to film the
investigation”
As well as filming the investigation, Dean will also interview witnesses and include the footage,
kindly forwarded to him from the Cross Keys.
