THE Manager of the Lakes and Dales Co-op in St John’s Chapel has been busy for weeks – making sheep.
In her spare time, Jessica has been crocheting all breeds of the favourite farmyard animal to herald the annual Eastgate Sheep show, which is entering it’s 39th year. Organised by Paul Collinson and the gang from the Cross Keys, the show will be held next Saturday (May 30th) in the field opposite the pub.

It is always a popular date on the Weardale calendar with dozens of farmers from far and wide converging on the village to compete in this prestigious show, come together and discuss the rudiments of breeding and generally having a good time. It is a family friendly show with something for everyone.

Jessica wanted to show her support and used her talents to advertise it in St John’s Chapel with a stunning display.
