FOLLOWING on from the despicable theft of a cherished Landrover from Wolsingham, a series of other burglaries have taken place in Tow Law.
In the early hours of this morning (Friday) the premises of Dixon’s Cabinet Makers near Ironworks Road was broken into and £5,000 worth of chainsaws and other tools were stolen. The thieves were captured on CCTV, showing three male thieves. The men were wearing ski masks and broke into the premises twice within 30 minutes, carrying the chainsaws away. This was between 1:20 am and 2.02 am. Around 40 minutes later, the three men were caught on camera again, stealing a cycle. And there were other thefts reported elsewhere in the town.
The owners of Dixon’s Cabinet Makers presume the thieves used a vehicle that was parked away from the workshop that was broken into because they returned twice within 30 minutes to carry off the tools. Ironworks Road can be accessed by the road from Wolsingham or from the centre of the town from the A68.
Police are investigating but if you have any further information, including any other CCTV footage please call them on 101.
