THE enthusiastic and hard-working community-minded residents of Rookhope have been preparing to burst village into bloom.
Members of the Rookhope In Bloom group were working their socks off yesterday, planting the flowers and plants they have purchased with money raised from the annual charity auction s well as a donation from Believe Housing.
They worked in the village hall and will be out and about in the village itself, planting and weeding and all other things that gardeners do preparing the outstanding sight for sore eyes that both visitors and residents thoroughly enjoy.
The village now enjoys more visitors, especially cyclists who stop off at the café based in the Business Centre that was, until relatively recently the primary school.
Rookhope in Bloom really is a sight to see – a fantastic community effort.
