Housing association colleagues came together for a hands-on volunteering session that will help people in need this Christmas.

Employees at believe housing created a mini production line at its Coast House office in Seaham, to pack donations for two local charities.

As a not-for-profit housing association, with more than 18,000 homes across County Durham and beyond, believe housing is committed to improving lives and communities.

Thanks to their efforts, County Durham Foodbank received food and toiletries for its network of foodbanks across the county.

And toys and gifts were donated to St Cuthbert’s Hospice Jigsaw Project, which provides counselling support for bereaved children.

Alan Smith, Chief Executive at believe housing, said: “A huge thank you to all our colleagues who donated food, toiletries, toys, and gifts, and to those who volunteered to pack the incredible contributions.

“We work hard to support our customers and communities, so it was fantastic to come together so we could go that bit further with our Christmas campaign, particularly for those who need extra help at this time of year.”
