Wolsingham man’s son signed for Northern Premier League Club
THE son of a Wolsingham man has been signed for Witton Albion FC.
Harry Lynn, son of Matthew from Wolsingham who has recently returned to the local area, is 20
years old and has played the national game since he was a young boy. This week, he has been signed
up to Witton Albion FC, a club based in Northwich, Cheshire for 2025/26 season following his release
from National League North side Radcliffe FC.
Harry has had successful loan spells in The Northern Premier League East at Ossett United FC
(where scored three times in nineteen games) and The NWCFL Premier Division with Chadderton FC
last season (where he made 15 appearances including 11 as a substitute, scoring three critical goals).
After representing Stockport Boys at a Regional Level, Harry started his career at Stockport
Georgians FC in the NWCFL First Division South scoring over 25 goals in a single season and currently
coaches as a fully qualified Under 8s manager at Stockport Villa Junior Football Club.
Matthew, who attended Wolsingham School and left the Dale to study at Manchester University,
is understandably very proud of his son. He has travelled around the country to cheer him on at
matches.
Witton Albion FC was founded in 1887 and has won the Senior Cheshire Cup eleven times. Harry
will join the line-up of a club that has seen some famous faces playing on the team, including
Liverpudlian comedian, John Bishop. Former managers have included Manchester City players Ken
Barnes and Ray Ranson .
Matthew said, “”I am really pleased that Harry’s hard work and dedication has paid off, and he gets
his chance to show off his talent and goalscoring ability at a good semi professional level. Just a
shame it’s not in the North East ….but you never know – in the future anything is possible “
