Marie Curie group celebrate 12 years of fundraising
THE Bishop Auckland Fundraising Group of Marie Curie celebrated its 12th birthday earlier
this month.
The Group acknowledges the people of South West Durham whose generosity has
enabled the Bishop Auckland Group to achieve the magnificent sum of £191,000 as at
January 2025. All monies raised is used to provide ‘end of life care’ in the area.
The Group meets at 1.30pm on the first Tuesday of the month in St. Mary’s Church Hall
on Woodhouse Lane. New members are always welcome to help with fundraising ideas and
the annual daffodil and supermarket promotional collections.
