Ever wanted to grow a pumpkin so big it turns heads?
After much deliberation Tracy Hetherington from Wolsingham who runs The Newmarket public house in Tow Law has decided to start a members’ Pumpkin Show there.
For many years, Tracy was the landlady of The Frosterley Inn where she hosted the annual and highly popular Pumpkin Show.
Tracy said, “For those who know me when I ran the Frosterley Inn, it was a huge success so let’s see what Tow Law has to offer! The show will consist of other items to grow and bake including: tomatoes, onions, plate pie, scones etc.
“We will have our show late September/October and will ensure we don’t coincide with the Leek show at Tow Law FC.”
If you are interested in being part of this event, please pop along to the open meeting on Tuesday 20 October at 6pm at The Newmarket for more information and how you can become involved.
