THE hardworking volunteers at Crook Community Centre have been awarded a grant from the Asda Foundation.
THE donation was given to help support the Centre’s warm‑space café, which provides low‑cost food, drinks, digital help, and a welcoming place for residents experiencing isolation or financial pressures.
Recent council funding has enabled improvements to the café area, making it more accessible, and the centre has secured its long‑term future by purchasing the building. With demand continuing to rise, the centre is seeking help with essential supplies and small running costs to keep the café warm, open, and supportive for everyone who relies on it.
