WOLSINGHAM WAYFARERS

24 walkers joined us for our April free guided
walk. We followed a 7.5 mile circular route to
Harehope Quarry and back. Whilst it was a
little breezy at the start, the sun soon came
through for us. On route we spotted plenty of
newborn lambs, a unicorn and a number of
peacocks! After the walk, we held our AGM in
the Charles Attwood Club to allow some of
those attending the walk to come along and
share their views on the way The Wolsingham
Wayfarers Charity is run.
The May walk takes place on Saturday 9th
May
and takes us up through Black Banks
before dropping down to the metal footbridge
over the River Wear. We will then enjoy a
riverside picnic break before returning to
Wolsingham via Bradley Burn and the riverside
path.
Everyone able to negitiate stiles and muddy
patches is welcome to join us, no need to
book, just meet at 10am outside Wolsingham
Town Hall in the Market place
