St Johns Chapel Blue Bell v Stanhope Pack Horse
St Johns Chapel Blue Bell hosted Stanhope Pack Horse in a closely contested encounter. The home side opened the scoring through Derek Iddon, but Will Giles quickly replied for the visitors. Colin Hodgson then restored the home advantage before Stanhope Pack Horse responded strongly, taking the next two frames through Louise Fletcher and Ian Peart.
Terry Wood secured the final singles match for St Johns Chapel Blue Bell, levelling the scores at 3–3 going into the doubles. With everything still to play for, Stanhope Pack Horse proved decisive, claiming the first two doubles to secure the overall win. Although the home side took the final frame of the night, it was Stanhope Pack Horse who edged the match 5–4.
Frosterley Inn v Stanhope Club
Stanhope Club made a positive start with Stu O’Dell opening the scoring, but Jake Richardson quickly levelled for Frosterley Inn. Wins from Gary Stubbs and Paul Dobson gave the visitors a two-point cushion, before Finlay Coates pulled one back for the hosts.
Adam Robinson claimed the final singles match in style, producing an impressive 8-ball clearance to restore Stanhope Club’s two-point advantage heading into the doubles. Stanhope Club carried that momentum forward, winning two of the three doubles matches to seal a convincing 6–3 victory.
Stanhope Grey Bull (B) v Wolsingham Black Lion
The home side started brightly, with Jack Tinkler and Richard James both winning early to give Stanhope Grey Bull (B) an early lead. Wolsingham Black Lion responded superbly, however, with successive victories from Adam Fletcher, Doug Mill, Adam Martin, and James Everitt, turning the match around to lead 4–2 going into the doubles.
With three points still available, Wolsingham Black Lion continued their strong run, taking the first two doubles to secure the match. Stanhope Grey Bull (B) claimed the final game of the night, but it was Wolsingham Black Lion who took a deserved 6–3 win.
