For Your Prayers
We keep in ourprayers all in our community who are in any kind of need. Our prayers are asked particularly for Kathleen Kirby and all those who are sick.
We pray for families and friendships in which conflict and disagreements have damaged relationships. We pray that love and forgiveness would overcome hurt and resentment.
Upper Weardale Festival of Gardening
St Thomas’ Heatherycleugh in Cowshill is hosting this year’s Horticultural Society Festival of Gardening this Saturday, 22nd August. Exhibits will be on show in church from 11am till 12 noon, when everything will be transferred next door to the village hall for an auction from 12.15pm. Lots of fruit, veg, plants, cake, jam and other good stuff! A poster is attached.
Weardale Agricultural Show
The 156th annual show will be held in St John’s Chapel on the Show Field on Saturday 29th August. Gates open at 9am. Tickets can be bought slightly cheaper in advance here TICKETS or on the gate at full price.
Weardale Show Celebration Service
There will be a celebration service to close out the show at St John the Baptist, St John’s Chapel at 6pm. All are very welcome.
