TOW Law Newmarket FC travelled away to unbeaten Witton Gilbert WMC today in the league.
The game started at a good pace with chances at both ends but after a heavy collision, the team lost Lewis Wilson early on who was winded but couldn’t recover and was replaced by Lewis Morton. Lewis, on six minutes and with his second touch of the game, played a smart ball through to Leon Hopps who struck one beyond the keeper 0-1.
The lads then allowed them too many chances and gave a silly free kick away, which they converted into a goal, equalising 1-1.
Tow Law then allowed the opposition too much time on the ball again and they scored a second to make it 2-1
A smart bit of play down Tow Law’s left side and a great cross from Adam Benton saw Jack Carmichael rise and head in to make it 2-2.
Tow Law came in at half time with a bit of belief that they could get something from this game but unfortunately didn’t start that way conceding early on 3-2. Every time they won the ball forward it looked like they could score –  on another day maybe. The team then lost both centre halves with two head injuries and completely lost their way .
Witton Gilbert scored their 4th goal from 30 yards out and the Tow Law lads’ heads were down. Changes were made but they just couldn’t get going again and conceded another two goals without reply.
Final Score: Witton Gilbert 6, Tow Law 2.
Man of the Match: Lewis Morton.
