We hope to run the tows on Saturday if we get the forecast snow tonight and tomorrow.
Please check the webcams and website before deciding whether to visit. We will update the website tomorrow evening.
A few of our tow operators went up to assess conditions at Weardale Ski Club today and were surprised to find that it was just about skiable – there were a few frozen mole hills to contend with and a few icy patches . The cover is currently very thin but the ground is nicely frozen so it shouldn’t take a lot of snow to improve things
The last part of the road today was snowy and icy and this is likely to be worse on Saturday so please only attempt it with good winter tyres or chains and remember to pack a shovel.
Please note that our new insurers have requested that we keep a register of all who ski or board with us so we ask you to sign in at the lodge where there is a signing in book.
Please also offer to help remove mole hills- we will provide spades
