We would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for all the kind and thoughtful messages sent
over the last few weeks following Ian’s death. The stories and memories shared, and the huge
turnout at the celebration of his life at the weekend, have been a wonderful reminder of the positive
impact he had in so many ways – at Killhope, in Weardale, and across the North Pennines. We are
delighted to say that, thanks to all your generous donations, we have so far raised more than £2,000
for the British Heart Foundation – a charity which provided much support to Ian in later life. We are
all immensely grateful for your contributions, we are leaving the just giving page open until Friday if
anyone would still like to make a donation in Ian’s name.
