Durham Brass Festival was kicked off in style with a surprise performance by Italian street band, Girlesque.
Visitors to Durham City were treated to the pop-up concert in Durham Marketplace, with passers-by gathering to watch the spectacular show from the all-female ensemble.
Girlesque and other iconic street bands will be performing in communities throughout the week as part of the festival’s Big and Little Brass Bashes, before culminating in Durham City on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 for the Streets of Brass and Party in the Park festival finale.
