Award-winning North East filmmaker Dean Midas has announced the official release of his latest short horror film, The Stitcher, dropping tonight (Friday 2nd October) at 6:00 PM across YouTube & Facebook.

Filmed entirely on location in and around Durham, The Stitcher shines a spotlight on some of the city’s most recognisable historic landmarks and vibrant venues, including the iconic Shakespeare Tavern, the City Theatre and the Durham Regatta. Despite its spine-chilling storyline, the film presents Durham in a stunning visual light, blending the historic beauty and unique character of the area with high-tension indie horror storytelling.

The production features an all-local cast from across the North East, whose standout performances bring the eerie narrative to life.

“We wanted to create something truly atmospheric while showcasing the incredible locations and the fantastic acting talent we have right here in the North East,” says director Dean Midas. “The actors did a fantastic job bringing this story to life, and we can’t wait for audiences in Durham and beyond to experience it.”

The Stitcher will be available to stream via Dean Midas Films on YouTube & Facebook this evening from 6pm.
